Is Edward Gibbon's "The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" the coolest book ever?  Or, is it supercilious and overdone?  You must decide by reading it.

I know, I know.  The Chicago Bulls cannot technically be the Coolest Man Alive.  But, this is my blog and I don't care.

I just wanted to point out to the world on my blog that Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls were the best team in the NBA this year.  You already knew that?  I don't care.  You haven't thought about it enough.

I am old enough to remember every year of Michael Jordan's magnificent career.  What a career it was.  The Bulls in the 90s were like a traveling circus.  Everybody loved them and the always won.  It was awesome!

And then it ended.  Jordan retired, Pippen went to the Sixers, and I can't remember where Rodman went.  It doesn't matter.  It sucked.

Next, came twelve years of continued suck.  Ok, ok.  The Scott Skiles era wasn't too bad.  But, the Bulls went and fired him for no good reason that I can think of.  Also, does anybody remember the twin towers:  Tyson Chandler and Eddie Curry.  What a nightmare that was.  But, they are long gone.

What is here now is great.  What is here now is unexpected.  What is here now is not Bron-Bron or D-Wade.  What is here now is winners.  Not just winners - Derrick friggin Rose and the BEST TEAM IN THE NBA.  Boom.

Welcome to the initial post by the coolest man alive.  Actually, I may not be the coolest man alive, but I am writing a blog about it.

A lot of people may think cool is easy.  In fact, being cool is only easy for a few people.  The rest of us just have to pretend.

Is this blog about pretending to be cool or really being cool?  I guess that's up to you to decide.  I think this blog is about being cool.  I aim to talk about all of the things that I think are cool.  I suppose my readership will have to decide.
